Margaret Furlong - 8" Vase "Paper Nautilus" - This vase with the Paper Nautilus captured on a classical base form is a far cry from its original life in the sea. The Paper Nautilus is an egg case, not technically a shell, and floats on the surface of the sea carrying the eggs of the next generation of octopi. Paper thin, the emerging circular form is dynamic and very, very strong. This form makes a lovely and beautiful vase. It frames and holds flowers for a distinctive and stylish presentation. Margaret likes to use this vase and the others variations of the shell vases to arrange shell and coral bouquets. Introduced 1999
